[[BOSC_2015|BOSC]] includes normal-length talks (15 minutes), lightning talks (5 minutes), and posters. The official deadline for submitting abstracts for BOSC talks was in April; however, we have a few spots saved for Late-Breaking Lightning Talks and posters. (There will also be a few spots reserved for walk-in posters; however, those will not be listed in the program or on the BOSC website.)

[http://events.open-bio.org/BOSC2015/openconf.php Abstracts]  for Late-Breaking Lightning Talks and posters are due by '''5 June''' 2015 at 9pm PDT, and are subject to the same requirements and review process as earlier submissions. You will be notified of your acceptance status on 14 June 2015.

== BOSC Open Source License Requirement ==

The [[OBF|Open Bioinformatics Foundation]], which sponsors BOSC, is dedicated to promoting the practice and philosophy of Open Source Software Development within the biological research community. For this reason, if a submitted abstract concerns a specific software system for use by the research community, then that software must be licensed with a recognized Open Source License, and be available for download, including source code, by a tar/zip file accessed through ftp/http or through a widely used version control system like cvs/subversion/git/bazaar/Mercurial.
